End of line - Certification, calibration and testing on wheel alignment systems

Wheel alignment Test Equipments & Headlights Aiming Systems.

The wheel alignment test equipment performs the testing of the wheel alignment, at the end of the assembling process.
The measurement is carried out mechanically, via scan rollers or contact-free, via a laser measuring system at the tire.
Both systems are able to determinate the position of the vehicle, with respect to an inertial reference (geometric axle of vehicle, related to stand axle).
The Wheel Alignment testing equipment determinates the eccentricity of wheels, while the wheels are turning, by scanning the surface of tire. During adjustment, the wheel geometry measuring system is logged to calculate the toe and camber angle of the wheel in standstill.
All the process is controlled and regulated by means of embedded SW programs and electronics devices, which have been developed by SIXTAU.
Thanks to the high flexibility of the DSS system, additional and combined tests are usually performed during the wheel alignment test: just as an example we mention the test of some ECU like VDC and the integration in the system of the Headlight Aiming Unit.
