	Uni3 - Modular equipment for harnesses tests It is the mid-range equipment of the Uni family of harnesses test devices. It features all the capabilities of the Uni2 system, plus giving the possibility to be fitted with the I/O subsystem modules. Thanks to its high performances and flexibility can be used as a compact unit for retrofit of existing test tables. The wide variety of interfaces allows the connection with the most common label printers and barcode readers, etc. Wire or wireless network connection interfaces are also available.		The test software programs are compatible to those developed for the Uni4 system. They are generated using a part of the same software package. The download to the Uni2 is made by means of a network connection or a fast serial link. A self learning function allows the automatic generation of a program, starting from existing sample cables. The self learned program is then checked by special program functions. The wide internal memory capacity can store a great number of test programs, selectable by means of the keyboard or the barcode. The network connection allows the Uni3 to comply with J.I.T production requirements. The statistical and quality pieces of information are made available on the net. The logical structure of the software, the user friendly graphical interface (thanks to a graphic display and soft keys) grant the operator's productivity since the beginning. The faults location is made easy by means of an exhaustive on-line help relevant to missing parts, open circuits, short circuits, unbalanced wires, etc. with starting and ending indications, colour, and additional information about the wire. At the same time the LED's on the relevant Autoblocks are driven, thus immediately giving the possibility to locate the wire on the test table. The label's format, the operator's interface language, some testing parameters and several other functions are selectable directly on the equipment or by means of the Uni4 software package interface.
